Ozzy

Super cool, fun, friendly, the one in the crowd who has never met a stranger….yup, we are talking about Ozzy!  Through no fault of his own, Ozzy landed at the shelter because his former owner was involved in criminal activity.  Unfortunately for Ozzy he had some things working against him. Sadly, being a bully mix and testing positive for heartworms can quickly be a death sentence in an over-crowded shelter in the south where he was overlooked for months.  Then a shelter volunteer met him and instantly saw him for the sweet, social, playful dog that he is and put out a plea for rescue to save him.

After five months of shelter life, Ozzy finished heartworm treatment, is settling in a foster home and transitioning to his new life like a champ.  Having stellar leash manners, Ozzy would make a nice partner for long walks or jogging, and would enjoy hiking too.  So attentive to his people, he would also do well on off-leash excursions.  He is smart, treat motivated, a pleaser, and responds quickly when you remind him about using his manners.  He would love an active family that would provide him with regular exercise, play time, and take him on adventures.  In return, you will get a loyal, loving, lifelong companion that is second to none!   3-4 years old, 60 lbs.
