Got Kiddos? How about Kitties? Other doggos too? That's A-OK! How about a loving home for a tender hearted sweet fella?
Meet BURDOCK! He’s a handsome, solid pup weighing in at about 45 pounds and about 10 months old..
He has been with his foster family here in Vermont settling in quite nicely with both his canine foster siblings and the family kiddos! He also has a feline friend in the home which has been a great mentor for him learning all things kitty, including the important feline respect.
BURDOCK is a tender hearted guy with a side of "goofy"! He has a playful side with both the people and kiddos in his family, and with his canine foster siblings. He even has a playful, respectful way of engaging with his new kitty friend!
Burdock is housebroken, crate trained and good on a leash. He’s working on being brave in more public areas and with the coaching of his foster mom, and great staff, he now has friends at the local Agway! He enjoys car rides and is a good co-pilot.
He has a respectful playstyle with his canine friends. He likes the game of chase, he playfully wrestles and loves to play tug. He also enjoys playing with his kiddo friends and would do great in a home with some active kiddos (5+years).
Burdock sleeps in his crate. He gets up earlier than the kiddos and one of his favorite “jobs” is to run in the bedroom, jump on the beds and wake them up with gentle kisses. He enjoys a good snuggle session, belly rubs and all.
Burdock has come a long way with his confidence since arriving from our partner shelter where he spent a good portion of his young life. This is a new world for him and we’re looking for a family that will take over the reins and continue navigation this new journey for him. He’s a trusting, loving guy at heart and with a partner or partners by his side, he will show you what a loyal best friend looks like!
Other canine mentors in the family would be great and a fenced in yard would be a bonus to give this guy some freedoms!
Give this handsome boy some time patience and see the rewards that only a rescued pup can bring! He will win your hearts in no time!
