HOUND LOVERS…..Meet our Handsome Hans! Approximately 3-4 years old and 60 lbs. With shelters overflowing in the south and not enough homes for them all, Hans spent over a year in the shelter before a kind foster family gave him a warm, safe space to stay through heartworm treatment, provided some training and experience living in a home with kids and other dogs. Then he made the faithful journey north to VT in the hopes of beginning a new life with a family of his own. He has not stopped smiling! What we know about Hans….

*People friendly and good with children
*Would love the companionship of another playful dog
*House and crate trained, nice house manners
*Rides well in the car
*Enjoys long walks and time to sniff
*Would love a fenced in space to romp with his canine friends
*Knows some basic commands and attentive when working for treats
*Loves soft beds and curling up on the couch
*Not suitable for apartment-style living
*Needs some work with pulling on leash, especially when he wants to meet people and other dogs
*Cats are unknown, so a feline-free home might work best
