More About ELIA

Meet Elia!!!🥰🥰🥰
Elia is hoping she only needs to interview for a forever home one last time. Elia is a small, 14lb, 2 year old little girl who just needs to find the right family.

Elia is cute, cuddly and graceful. She leaps and bounds like a small gazelle or baby deer. She loves playing with squeaky toys. She loves her people and thrives with a well rounded relationship with her people. She prefers women and will completely attach to her female human, but actually does best when treated equally among her pup siblings and other humans. She may tolerate a man in her home, but she will need to interview the potential men in her life and those men should not expect to be her favorite people in the house. A soft spoken calm man however can win her heart. If you are the right family for this little gem, she will love you completely, snuggle always and be a fun, cuddly entertaining part of your home.

Understanding that she will need some time to decompress and trust her surroundings is a must. Being ok with a pup that barks to alert you of all moving creatures and humans alike outside your home is also a must. She does follow the lead of her doggie siblings so if you have quiet, calm, small pups. She will work to be like them. But if you have loud, barky pups, she will be sure to be the loudest.

She may do ok with larger pups, but her style of play with larger dogs tends to be more mouthy and aggressive while when she plays with smaller dogs she is gentle and sweet.

Are you an all woman home looking for a pup to join your small dog pack? A home without small children or small children visitors? A home where any men are willing to be patient and accepting that they may never be her favorite? Then you might be the right home for Elia. She will need to meet you a few times before adoption, both at your home and a neutral meeting location.

Elia is available for adoption through Long Trail Canine Rescue. Fill out an application here:
