More About DAISY

We’d like to introduce DAISY. We are now actively looking for an ideal family for her to unite with and become a team member of the family. Please read carefully before filling out our application. Daisy is an owner surrender and does have some special needs for her to be successful and a loving, proud member of a family.

Daisy is a 2-year-old Goldendoodle. We were contacted by her original owner for help in placing due to unforeseen circumstances within the family. Daisy, now 2, has had little exposure to the bigger world outside of her home and little coaching to help her navigate through it until now.

She has been with one of our experienced foster homes that has opened her world up in all different areas of life. We are looking for an experienced, dog savvy family that can encourage her to continue to pace herself when “scary stuff” pops up and build confidence one day at a time with encouragement and praise. Daisy has the innate ability to cooperate, can learn quickly and will be thrilled to have her own coach by her side.

Daisy loves other dogs. She is good with social queues, understands body language and matches playstyles. She also has worked hard with off leash skills and is reliable. She stays close, checks in often and consistently comes when called. She is still working on “on-leash” skills and will benefit from additional training with a well-fitted harness.

She LOVESSSSS – Large Jolly Balls, rubber balls and stuffies. She’s down for a good game of tug too! She is not one to destroy her toys and enjoys a wide variety to choose from. She shares well with other dogs or could also self-entertain with her favorite ones.

Daisy is going to need an easy-going household that can not only provide adequate stimulation and outdoor adventure, but also be able to understand she is tenderhearted. Empathy, patience and love are what will be the ingredients for a trusting, bonding relationship.

Daisy is crate trained and can be left alone for short periods of time. She is working on respectful boundaries and greetings with “strangers” in and outside of the home. She struggles with trusting new people, but with guidance from her people, she has been expanding her comfort level.

She ADORES her people and one of her favorite indoor pass times is a good couch snuggle, a belly rub, or a nap under the covers. This girl loves her people hard and without doubt a faithful loyal friend. Her heart is big, and her love is strong for her people.

Daisy is not a city life kinda gal. We're looking for a home with a fenced in yard and/or lots of outdoor room to run and frequent trips to the woods, fields, lakes, trails and beaches will make this girl’s heart sing! Thrilling adventures and cooperative missions are necessary activities to be checked on her contentment list, as it should be on yours!

Meet this girl’s needs and you will have an impressive and endearing partner both in and outside the home.
No kitties for this golden girl.

Daisy is being fostered in Essex Junction.

Applications will be forwarded to her foster mom to be in touch!
