BUGSY! Our happy, goofy, fun loving and so very handsome has been waiting to be noticed by a family looking to add a balanced dog of fun and snuggles to their life.
BUGSY has been with one of our foster families since August and they have done a tremendous job with him. From knowing only shelter life to now being introduced to the big world of Vermont! He has done well with his social skills, meets people with all tail wags and a wiggle butt. His leash skills have improved 100% from pulling all over the place, to now nicely walking and looking for direction. He's earned some free off leash time with his recall skills and really enjoys the trails. He has no desire to roam far and can quietly sit on the porch with his foster family watching the world go by. Bugsy has learned good house manners with the help of his foster canine sibling. He has also learned how to respectfully play with other dogs, enjoys adventures in the car and probably one of his favorite things are those belly rubs on his long belly!
Bugsy knows a few tricks too including sit, down and roll over. He's eager to learn and wants to please so those tricks can keep building into a fun routine. He's living and respectful with a feline friend, crate trained, house broken and the perfect bed warmer for the cold nights headed our way.
This handsome guy is about 65 pounds, 2 years old and although not the most graceful swimmer, he sure does love to splash around and make some waves.
There is no need for extra entertainment with Bugsy around. He is happy to join in any type of fun and games being offered. His antics and expressions are amusing, and his playtime can provide endless hours of laughter therapy for the entire family.
Bugsy gets along with other dog and dog savvy kitties. He can be strong, playful, and bouncy so another playful, larger dog would be an appropriate play partner. Smaller dogs may not appreciate his playstyle. Bugsy would also be fine and would enjoy being a spoiled singleton where he is the center of the families’ attention. Bugsy enjoys being outdoors and an adventurous family would be ideal for him. Bugsy’s not a high energy dog, but does need his outlet which could easily be followed with a good snuggle up session on the couch or stretched out on a bed.
Bugsy is looking for his peeps and is an “all about you” kinda dog. He is a tender-hearted guy and even though he’s 65 pounds, he does not need strong handling, but rather a confident leader to coach him while learning new skills. He’s ready to be that endearing, devoted partner with whom you enjoy thousands of adventures with.
Bugsy is being fostered in Charlotte. Please submit an application which will be forwarded to his foster family to be in touch.
