GORDY, our lovable, goofy, playful 2 ½ year old (50+/- pound) super mutt is now recovered from his heartworm treatment and ready to embark on a new journey with a family of his own!

For Gordy, life is like a Lewis and Clark adventure waiting to happen. He has a passion for partnership and loves to be your counterpart. He loves exploring the outdoors, going into fields, woods, lakes, and trails. He has good leash manners and is an excellent passenger in the car. Off leash freedom is in the works in low distraction areas.

In the home, Gordy has excelled in his manners, and will be perfectly happy to fall asleep or keep you company in the warmth and comfort of “home” so long as you find the time for his daily cardio workout. Gordy is always ready to follow your lead and see what’s next on the agenda. You will find Gordy to be highly agreeable with whichever activity you choose.

Gordy also would love to have a canine sibling to share his adventures with. He’s respectful, social, and playful with other friendly dogs that cross his path. Dog savvy kitties could be okay if they accept Gordy’s advances with play.

Gordy is the “good dog” that so many people envision. He is responsive, attentive and a playful counterpart. He loves attention but is not “clingy” and will settle fine when there are other things that need tending to. If you are a semi active family and looking for a close working partnership with a lighthearted canine counterpart, you will find Gordy to check those boxes.

He has earned free roam of the home when left alone although does like the comforts of an open cozy crate. He also enjoys settling in his own bed at night in the bedroom with his people or in his comfy den. Kiddos over 8 could be part of Gordy’s pack too! He’s a bit playful, mouthy, and bouncy for the younger crew, but would love to join in the fun with the older kiddos.
