We have another sweet, old soul ready to fill a void with a family looking for a true loyal companion and happy to join you in making memories on your family vacation, camping trips, daily outings or just sitting quietly enjoying the wonders of outdoors.

Achilles is about 4 years old and about 45 pounds. He was surrendered to our partner shelter after his owners fell ill and could not properly care for him any longer. How lucky he was to find an amazing foster home here in Vermont to be that bridge between families.

He has proven to be a gem! He is house trained, loves going on walks and does wonderfully on a leash, rides well in the car, LOVES to learn new things, A+ in the snuggling department, gentle in all ways, socially polite and playful with other dogs and looks to his foster mom for direction and comfort.

He’d be well suited in a home with respectful kiddos, other playful dogs, a family that likes to take their dogs with them on family vacations and outings. He’d prefer to be with his people more than left alone, but can be left alone for reasonable amounts of time. (under 6 hours per day).

He’s a gentle, tender hearted guy willing to do anything to please his people. His foster mom can share lots of videos of him learning, where you can see the joy he has when he knows he just learned a new skill and rolls over for some well deserved belly rubs!
