Our red-headed retriever mix with a passion for partnership is waiting to meet and connect with a family to call his very own.

Dorian is a kind, gentle pup, a bit sensitive at times and will need a like kind, gentle family as his counterpart. His confidence is growing steadily by the day with praise for his accomplishments and courage. His canine mentors have been his superheroes and truly enjoys playing all the canine games with new friends that he makes on a daily basis.

He has earned free roam in the home as his potty skills are in check! On the trails he stays close because he wants to, not because he has recall (yet!). Leash skills are also underway and will need to be continued as well as appropriate socialization at his comfort level.

Dorian is a medium energy relaxed pup at just under 1 year old and a nice size at 30 pounds (ideal weight 35 pounds) He’s happy to romp in the fields and the trails and equally as happy to curl up on a comfy dog bed, or on a couch with his head in your lap. Equal time at both is a perfect world for Dorian. As his foster family, we have enjoyed the company of an impressive and endearing partner both in and outside the home.

We are looking for a family that can offer him a semi-active, close partnership with this light hearted stunning fella. Respectful kiddos would be a fun addition to his world, and fun, well balanced canine siblings will be a necessity to keep this guy’s confidence moving in the right direction.
