Mr. Roman is our handsome guy from Costa Rica! He spent about one month in a foster home there while recovering from wounds he received from a not so nice person. Roman is a very friendly guy, cautious with strangers at first, but warms up quickly to others. He has been in a foster home while going through heartworm treatment which he has recovered from like a Trooper. During his stay with his foster family, we discovered that Roman really would like to have other dogs in his family to be buddies with and pal around with. Roman is also fine with kitties.

Roman has exceptional leash skills and knows lots of basic commands and is happy to show them off to you. He is also an excellent trail runner off leash, always keeping his eye on you and not traveling too far from his people.
Roman’s ideal home would be with an adventurous family who loves the outdoors and enjoys having their dogs join them. Another friendly, playful dog or two would also be great for Roman.

We really don’t know what breeds are mixed in with this guy, he’s quite unique weighing in at about 35 pounds; approximately 2 years old; runs like the wind and is a professional cuddler. Roman is being fostered in Essex, VT.
