Our boy Andrew has finally available for adoption! Whatever family adopts this boy is truly going to have one special companion! He is kind, he is gentle he is a wonderful soulful guy.

He is also a true survivor, entering the shelter as a stray with ringworm. Having to be in isolation, in the loud shelter for 3 months and then developing pneumonia. As soon as he was cleared from ringworm he went into a foster home in South Carolina and started his heartworm treatment.

Through all of that, Andrew remained calm, cool and collected. Everyone who meets Andrew falls in love, and everyone Andrew meets he equally loves back. After six months of treatments for his ailments and six months of so much love from his foster mom, Andrew is now ready to meet a forever family.

We don’t know his exact age, the vets think between 5-7. He is a slow and steady guy on his outdoor adventures. Easily goes on 2-3 mile walks/hikes. In the home, he’s happiest to be part of whatever seems to be going on. This could include cooking, napping, watching a movie, strolling the gardens or chatting on the phone with his head on your lap. Favorite thing? Belly rubs! Anytime, Anywhere.

Andrew welcomes all life forms into his world. Dog, cats, all types of people. He greeted all the school children in their recess field the other day and happily wagged his tail as he sauntered over to meet and say hi to each and everyone.

We are looking for a home and family that is in need of a true companion, best friend and another cherished member of the family. A family that has plenty of time to share their life’s adventures with him. He has a lot of catching up to do and lots of kisses to give.
