More About Oprah

Oprah is our 8 week old pup who flew all the way from Costa Rica to start a new life with her 3 siblings. She and her siblings were born in the streets and were the lucky ones to make it off the streets and into a temporary home while arrangements were made to bring them to Vermont. They have all been seen by our vet for their wellness exams and are well on their way to happy healthy lives.

Oprah is very sweet, social and happy. She has very kind eyes and loves her people and her siblings. She has unique black/white speckles on her legs and soft droopy ears. She has been working hard on her manners as well and is enjoying life in a foster home.

All of these siblings will need a home where they are not left for more than 3 hours per day. They have had a rough start in life and this will be prime socializing and learning time.

We really don't know what their breeds are. The Costa Rican streets pups are generations of mixed breeds. Most seem to be in the 30-40 pound range when fully grown. Costa Rica dogs are also known to have a very sweet demeanor and get along with all kinds of family members including kids, dogs, cats and even chickens.

Oprah is going to be a special dog for a family who enjoys complete unconditional love and does everything to please. If you have room and time for this sweet pup, she sure will bring some joy and laughter in to your lives.
