More About Mia

Picked up as a stray, Mia landed in the shelter where her family never came for her. She is settling into a foster home and experiencing just how wonderful it is to be in a warm and loving environment for the first time ever. What we have learned about Mia....she has discovered the fun of toys, she is good with cats and other dogs, house trained, she is not food aggressive, but is food motivated, she's good with being crated, and will sleep through the night.

Mia is shy when she first meets new people and other dogs, Once she is comfortable in a new environment though, she is more energetic and playful. Her foster Mom is exposing her to different situations that will help to build her confidence so she will feel safe, enjoy herself, and put her mind at ease so she has more fun doing things that are new to her.

Mia walks nicely on leash and willingly works on basic obedience for some tasty treats. She is so sweet and loves to cuddle up with her humans. Mia is in search of an active family who will continue to train and socialize her, and show her just how much fun life can be with the love and stability of a family of her own. DNA test shows she is a mix of lab/husky/collie. She has a cool half blue/half brown right eye, 1 year old, 38 lbs
