More About Brooklyn

Some of Brooklyn’s favorite things are running through the woods, playing fetch with a tennis ball, swimming, a peanut butter filled Kong or bone, and snuggle time. She is definitely an active girl but can also spend time by herself while her family is away and has nice house manners. She can be little anxious around unfamiliar visitors, but will eventually settle in as she gets used to new people. With some time and training she could be a skilled leash walker as she is smart and aims to please her people. Brooklyn literally smiles when you pet her or when she’s enjoying herself and is a girl with many talents….she can catch a treat when balanced on her nose, play dead, sit, give a paw, and will wait to eat until given permission.

While at doggie daycare, she prefers the larger male dogs for playmates, but is good with other dogs. Last summer Brooklyn tore her left ACL and unfortunately is now recovering from a recent tear to her right ACL. This injury has made her unsure and anxious around the one year old toddler in the home, so her family has made the very sad decision that she would be much happier in a new home, one with adults and older children would be a better fit for her. Brooklyn will provide so much happiness, laughter, companionship, and protection as her current family has experienced for the last five years. Brooklyn is a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, 5 years old, and 53 lbs
