More About BOO

We are ready to introduce our sweet BOO with everyone in hopes for lots of shares to find his special family. Boo, appropriately named by shelter staff because in the shelter he was afraid of his own shadow. He was too scared to engage with anyone, although did find some solace when he joined other canine friends. He spent over 1 ½ years at the shelter until one of our dedicated foster families opened up their heart and home so he can escape shelter life and start a new journey.

Boo is a very sweet, kind, gentle, reserved, quiet guy. He likes to take things slowly when meeting new people. With patience, kind words and some treats, he will ever so gently engage and absorb some gentle loving. Boo has come a long way since arriving to his foster family. He still has some confidence skills to gain as he explores this new world outside of the shelter, but he’s well on his way. With dedication, understanding and routine, his world will become bigger and bigger.

Boo needs a life coach to encourage him along and a best friend to dedicate his loyalty to. Once you’re his friend, it will be for life. Boo is a medium energy guy and enjoys outdoor walks and car rides. He is great on the leash and most confident when on one and attached to his person. He also settles nicely in the home, he’s not a barker, and always ready to be your right-hand man. He is currently living with two canine foster siblings which he does well with.

We think he would benefit from a laid back, well mannered mentor in the home. He is indifferent to kitties, so dog friendly kitties would be okay too. He has good house manners and has earned free roam in the home when left alone for short periods of time. He does love resting his head on your lap and cuddling in bed with his favorite person(s), so a family that will include those important activities into his day will be important.

Boo is about 3 years old, maybe boxer mix? And weights about 40 pounds. We are looking for a quiet home for this handsome guy so he can continue to let his sweet soul emerge, build more confidence skills and solidify a lasting bond with a special person(s) of his own.
