Ginger is our 3 year old beautiful, affectionate girl with a kind soul that has a little shy side to her. She engages nicely and trusts woman a little quicker than with the men, but with a kind, patient fella, she will become a good friend.

Ginger has been in a foster home for a few months as she completed her heartworm treatment which she went through like a trooper. She has learned her basic house manners during this time, walks well on a leash and has earned free time in the home when left alone with her other two foster roommates.

She would enjoy a large fenced in yard so she can play her favorite game of tracking critters and not worry about her wondering too far. She also would be a great hiking partner, co-pilot and companion for another dog.

Ginger would also love to be in a home with other dogs. She gains confidence much quicker with a furry friend by her side. She is also food motivated and loves to learn new things. She also is fine with kitties with proper introductions.

An ideal home for Ginger would be one that has ample time and will continue to work with her to build her confidence, teach her new things, and show her how fun the world can be, especially with a family that she could call her very own.
