More About Cleo

Cleo is the sweetest and gentlest dog - she will easily integrate herself into your family/pack, and steal your heart. She is very balanced and calm dog, and enjoys meeting new people, dogs, and kitties - Cleo sits for greetings of new adults and children. This girl has lived with lively dogs when she was at the shelter, rolled with a pack of eight dogs at her southern foster placement, and is currently living with an older male bully mix - greetings to young/old, and male/female dogs have all been cordial and appropriate. She enjoys being around other dogs, but is not a heavy player, and prefers to coexist and cuddle with other dogs in the house.

Cleo enjoys walks (her leash manners are impeccable) and romping in the backyard, but is equally content as a couch companion getting pats and love. She is very attentive to feedback and is oriented to her people when they are home, and has done well loose in the house or crated when she has to be alone. One shorter walk around the block, and one longer walk have worked well for Cleo to get enough exercise and fresh air. Cleo carries soft toys around like they are her babies, enjoys treats/bones, and is trying to figure out puzzle toys. She is food and affection motivated, and enjoys training and trying new things with the support and encouragement of her people. She learns routines quickly but can go with the flow with her people. Cleo is a quiet girl who does not bark and with her lower energy level and super sweet personality make her a great fit for any lucky family. Cleo is a mature 1-2 years old and weighs 55 lbs.

Cleo is currently undergoing lifesaving heartworm treatment and will be ready to a join a permanent family at the end of March.
