Ms. Mae is looking for a home where she can release the instincts of a Coonhound! She has had a lovely family for 2 years, but it has been realized that living in the “city” of Burlington is not an ideal lifestyle for the freedom spirit of this lovely girl.
She loves and is loyal to her current mom and dad. Engages in attention, eager to learn and please, loves adventure, enjoys toys, runs like the wind and knows a good couch snuggle.
Ms. Mae probably didn’t have a good experience prior to her being adopted with kiddos. Kiddos make her nervous and un-settled, so she will need a home without kiddos.
We think Ms. Mae would thrive in a home with an outdoorsy couple, preferably with a lot of land for her to run and roam. A fenced in yard would be a bonus to manage how far she would roam. Ms. Mae also does great on a leash and a hike in the woods would be her heaven.
Ms. Mae is reserved and a bit afraid of strangers and with unknown dogs and finds comfort with and adores her own people. Building confidence skills for Ms. Mae would help her when needing to meet new people and dogs. If Ms. Mae could have a home with her people, a solid relationship and a structured routine that includes time with Mom & Dad, outdoor adventure time, cool toys and a couch or comfy bed to end the day, she would be a happy gal.
If you have the time, space and love for a special Coonhound, we’d love for you to meet Ms. Mae.
Ms. Mae is being fostered in Burlington with her current family. She is about 4 ½ years old, completely healthy and current with vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention, spayed and microchipped!
