Foxy LADY LION! This girl ended up at the shelter with a belly full of puppies! Thankfully she was taken into a temporary foster home in South Carolina and was able to raise her pups outside of shelter life! All puppies have gone to rescue but Lady stayed behind so she could be treated for her heartworms!

Now, Lady has finished her treatment, recovered beautifully and is being fostered with one of our lovely foster homes in North Ferrisburgh, VT.

We estimate Lady to be about 3 years old and a perfect size at 35 pounds! She is a little on the reserved side at first, but does gently engage when she's ready. She is looking for a lifetime companion, someone to take her for daily walks, talk sweet nothings to her and someone (or a family) that truly enjoys a calm, relaxed kinda pup. She loves to lay by her foster mom's feet. When visitors come she chooses to go to her den until the commotion is over.

She would be fine in a home with other dogs, although she chooses to be with people rather than other dogs. She's not looking for a canine playmate, but would be fine with any canine living in the home. Lady is also totally relaxed around her feline friends.

If you are looking for a quiet, gentle, lovely pup that doesn't require tons of exercise, but would enjoy the company for daily walks, lots of pets, someone to run errands with and/or a true loyal canine companion, please fill out our application.
