This is our handsome, mature fella named LEVI! Levi is at least 7 years old and was surrendered to the shelter by an owner claiming he could no longer care for him. He was surrendered with heartworms and poor skin condition making it easy for people to overlook this soulful gentleman.

His eyes tell a probably story of a not so wonderful past for Levi and sometimes the day these dogs are brought to the shelter is the day that their lives will actually change for the better. This is why we offered rescue to this sweet older fella. The shelter is no place for an older soul to spend his days.

Levi has now been treated for his heartworms and is recovering beautifully. He is in a loving foster home with other dogs and a loving family. He is a kind fella, who enjoys the quieter things in life. He enjoys the company of other calm dogs, doesn't so much appreciate high energy ones. He enjoys his outdoor time exploring the neighborhood, and even has a few zoomies that come out during the day! Couches and back scratches are also a favorite past time for Levi.

Levi would love a home on the quieter side, a comfy couch and bed to rest his body, maybe a fenced in yard so he can safely romp around and get his zoomies out, and a family that would enjoy a few outdoor walks during the day, taking in the sights and scents of what his new world has to offer. Levi loves attention, will always seek to be by your side and lean in for a good ole massage.

Levi is a friendly, engaging fella and is good with respectful kiddos too and kitties too! He is yearning for that special bond and will offer to be your best friend.
