Have you ever seen a dog with a heart on her face? The love that Brownie has for life and for her people shine through with her special marking. Brownie is a 40 pound, 1 1/2 year old mix that escaped shelter life and now enjoying all life has to offer with her foster family. Brownie was a bit hesitant when first arriving, not too sure of what to think of this new world, but with the love and patience and guidance of her foster family, Brownie is letting go of the past and looks forward to exploring the future. She is doing excellent with her leash manners, she becomes more confident and engaging with strangers every day while walking the trails and certainly enjoys a good game of fetch! She's loving, playful and eager to please.

Brownie loves her toys, cuddling on the couch, house broken and crate trained. Although Brownie is 1 1/2 years old, she still has lots of puppy antics to catch up on and is learning good manners inside the home.

Brownie's ideal home would be with a family with or without children. She loves children, but would probably be best with respectful children over 8 just because of her energy level. She would be a fantastic hiking partner and she does pretty good off leash too. She is crate trained, but not a big fan of being left alone for long periods of time, so a family that has the time to enjoy outings with her would make her happy. Daily energy outlet, structured routine, and ongoing training will result in a best friend and companion for the family.
