COMET & NEBULA - BONDED PAIR

COMET & NEBULA - BONDED PAIR

Twice the Fun! This bonded pair of what we think is Mom and kiddo are not only adorable, but they are truly a fun couple to have around. The entertainment they provide is so much better than any TV show! Nebula (mama – white/tan) and Comet (brown w/ black markings) have been with their foster mom for quite some time settling in. They were abandoned and turned into our partner shelter in South Carolina. They are obviously bonded, and we will be looking for a home where they can stay together. Both are approximately 15 pounds each, sweet, social, and playful. They do everything together, including jumping on your lap and providing kissing on each cheek! They have good house manners, love their crate, potty

ODIN

ODIN

We would like to introduce ODIN to you! A handsome fella at 11 years of age is having to find a new family to call his own after his only family has had to make this difficult decision to focus on family health challenges. Odin has good house manners and leash skills. He has learned sit, down, come and wait. He waits patiently for his food and LOVES to play ball and frisbee. He is well balanced with play energy and hang out time. Odin loves a good heat source, so basking in the sun in the summer, or next to a fireplace/woodstove in the winter is his kind of day. He's been an only dog and would prefer him to join a family as

Maisy

Maisy

Maisy was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina and adopted by a family in Vermont earlier this summer. Maisy's family has made the difficult decision to search for a more suitable home for her, an active family that is a better match for a higher energy young dog. Maisy loves going for walks, hikes, car rides, playing fetch, frisbee and anything that involves running around. She is unsure about bodies of water but will step her feet in. Maisy is a quick learner and highly trainable with successful completion of a level one life skills training class where she developed a lot of great skills. She knows sit, give paw, stay, leave it, come, and is working on heal. Maisy is incredibly people motivated,

Bruno

Bruno

Bruno is, without question, 100% dog. He’s happy to play fetch in the backyard, carefully gather all his toys and cuddle them, gobble down his kibble, relax on the couch while home alone, stroll through the neighborhood taking in all the sights and smells, snuggle on the couch with his people, and snore the night away in his crate. From the time he arrived in Vermont from the shelter in the middle of winter until the sunny warm days of late, Bruno has increasingly grown comfortable with his foster family, including another dog. Toys of all types are very valuable to Bruno, sharing with other dogs is not his preference - but he can bury them like a champ. Bruno notices cats in the neighbor’s

ROMEO

ROMEO

Romeo, Oh Romeo where art the ideal family for you! Circumstances have changed with Romeo’s current home and we have been trusted to find a husky loving family for him to join. This handsome fella is about 3 years young. He has a great set of foundation skills already under his paws. He is good on a leash, takes direction well and nice house manners. He is a social guy, excited to say hi to people and dogs alike in the home and in public. We would say Romeo is a medium energy guy who can settle very nicely in the home, but definitely enjoys his outdoor hikes or nice long walks around the hood. Romeo likes to be brushed (and need to be brushed)

RUBY!

RUBY!

RUBY Tuesday UPDATE! This gem has been with us for over 1 month and has developed a grand foundation of skills. We continue to improve in all areas. She has excellent leash skills with a halter in low distraction areas and is working on polite greeting when people/dogs are around. She is of the opinion that everyone wants to say hi to Ms. Ruby and even maybe offended when they walk by without greeting her. lol. 4 on the floor continues to be

LOUIE

LOUIE

Lovely Louie is our 4 year-ish year old kitty who is looking to join a feline loving family that enjoys a social, entertaining lap kitty! He’s a pretty easy going fella who would do fine with an equally as mellow canine friend and family members that are looking for that special time on the couch or chair with a kitty warmer. Louie is an indoor kitty who also loves to watch the outdoors from several perches in the home. A cozy blanket on the sofa or bed is also a favorite place where you might find him catching some zzz’s. When he’s not busy getting his beaty rest or watching the birds and/or squirrels flitting outside, he’s happy to entertain himself with a toy from

ARGUS

ARGUS

ARGUS is approximately 10 years young, 54 pounds and best guess a Shepherd mix. He is in excellent health., has been very loved and well taken care of. Unfortunately Argus' home life has changed when a baby (now a toddler) joined the family which has proved to be too stressful for Argus and with heavy hearts and professional guidance, the family understands that Argus would be much happier in a home without the stress of a toddler's energy. We asked his family to write about him so together we can find him a perfect family for him to join, share his loyalty and his later years of adventuring with... Argus is a good boy in so many ways. We’ve had 10 wonderful years with him.

At the end of April, Hazel made the trip to Vermont and has enjoyed settling in to her foster home and learning some new skills. Hazel currently lives with an 8 year old playful staffy mix, and a 13 year old laid back pittie mix, and does a great job listening to feedback from the resident dogs and adjusting her approach accordingly. Dakota ADOPTION PENDING

Dakota ADOPTION PENDING

ADOPTION PENDING Traveling all the way from the “Lone Star State,” introducing Dakota! If you are looking for a partner to join you on long walks or if hiking is your thing, Dakota is a dream to take with you on-leash. Dakota’s foster Mom describes him as a sweet soul, gentle, and sensitive, loves his humans and likes following you around the house as you go about your business. He will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. On the shy side meeting new people, he might be happier in a quieter home with not a lot of people coming and going. Dakota likes other dogs, so he wouldn’t mind sharing a home with a confident, playful doggy that would help build up his confidence.

Remington

Remington

Look at that face! Young, active (but not hyper), with a goofy and sweet personality.....everyone loves Remington! Remington was seized from his previous owner for neglect, arriving at a small rural shelter in Texas, thin with sores on his elbows. He is currently in a foster home in Vermont, quickly growing accustomed to being well-cared, learning basic obedience skills, house manners, and being a part of the daily activity of a loving family. His foster family describes Remington as the most loyal companion, bonds quickly with his people, and a big snuggle bug. Remington is house and crate trained, gets along with other friendly dogs, and enjoys daily walks and hikes. He would do fine as an only furry canine, or would do best with

Brock

Brock

Brock was picked up as a stray and landed in a South Carolina shelter where he waited for months before finally being rescued and transported to Vermont to start a new life. Brock is currently in a foster home and has completed level 1 and 2 life skills training. He would be happy to be paired up with other dogs in his new home (cats unknown). Archer is housebroken, has an excellent “sit,” is smart and

Olive

Olive

ADOPTION PENDING Meet Olive! Olive is a darling 25 lb stubby-legged, happy little girl; so loving and snuggly, with a crooked tail that never stops wagging. She bonds quickly with her people, just adores being with her person; she will follow you wherever you go, wriggle up next to you on the couch, always with an abundance of kisses. Olive has loads of energy and needs daily walks and/or playtime. Being good on-leash, she makes a wonderful walking companion and also has good off-leash skills for hiking adventures; she’ll run and run, and has a great recall when you use a dog whistle. Olive loves car rides. She’s had some car sickness early on, but she may be past that. She gets a little anxious

Sadie

Sadie

If you LOVE HOUNDS, you need to meet Sadie! Sadie is most likely a Bluetick Walker Coonhound, approximately 3 years old, and 55 lbs. She is house and crate trained, but is allowed free run of the first floor when home alone as she has nice house manners. Sadie is a very social and loyal companion. She does like to be the boss, or the “sheriff,” as they call her at doggy day care, so she might be a better match with an older male dog in a new home, or submissive female, even though she is friendly with most all other dogs…a feline-free home would be best. Sadie is gentle and sweet with grandchildren, ages 2 and 5, and allows them to hug and

LOLA

LOLA

LOLA! A very kind, loving and HAPPY dog! We are not really sure of her past as she was brought in by Animal Control. She was pregnant, heartworm positive, had a wound on her nose, an imprint around her neck where she was probably tied and missing some front teeth AND her back foot. The consensus is that she was either caught in a trap and chewed her foot off; or was used as a bait dog. We will never know, but what we do know is that Lola , notwithstanding her past is, is living every day as a happy, full of life dog! Lola has been treated for her heartworms, her wounds have healed AND we even had a very special prosthesis made

PENNY

PENNY

PENNY! A beautiful 6 +/- year old Yellow Lab mix is now in need of finding a new family to join. She is a very loved, taken care of member of a family now, but since a baby has joined the family, Penny has become overly anxious and has a hard time settling with the new baby energy in the home. The family has tried hard to make things more calming for her with trainers, veterinarians, etc.. but it has been decided that Penny would be much happier in a quieter home without children or other pets. Penny needs a dog savvy family that can give her the time and training, and one on one attention she needs to once again become a confident dog

DONOVAN KITTY

DONOVAN KITTY

PERSONALITY PLUS! This handsome boy DONOVAN is about 5-7 years old and is ready to entertain a family of his own! This guy is super social, very engaging, playful, cuddly and always seeking affection. He enjoys the company of other playful kitties and lives in a home with respectful dogs. He is current on vaccinations, FELV/FIV tested negative and neutered. Why he spent 3 years in a shelter, we will never know. Thankfully one of our foster mom's saw him and obviously reminded her of her own kitty (that she rescued from the same shelter) that looks and acts just like him! If you are looking for a kitty that acts more like a dog, and want a special feline friend, send in an application!

She is happy, social and engaging now that she has had a safe and secure world and is ready to find a forever family that can provide her a similar home. We think Whitney is around 4-5 years old and she’s about 35 pounds. Whitney will need a fenced in yard and another well balanced canine friend in the home to provide her comfort, stability and a play friend. Whitney has earned free roam
